The Goondiwindi Polo Tournament is to be held on the 11th of August and it is one of my favourite weekends of the year.
This year, the Border Region of NSW and Queensland is in the grip of the bleakest drought in decades and the tournament will provide a little oasis of fun and polo in the midst of barren paddocks and desolate anxiety.
We will again be providing the coveted Most Valued Player Award; a sterling silver horseshoe key ring. It is an original design that we don’t replicate for any other event or individual. So, if you want that key ring you will have to win the award.
We will also be providing a pair of our 18ct white gold Australian South Sea Pearl shepherd hook earrings for the best-dressed lady on the day. Valued at $1,550 they’re quite sought after and will provide some well-dressed country girl with a little drought relief.
It may be a heartbreaking year for the Border Region, however, we’re determined not to fair weather friends. See you at the polo…
