The perfect pair of diamond stud earrings are an item of jewellery you will very happily wear every day. But how do you choose the perfect pair of diamond stud earrings? Here is our simple guide:
1. The diamonds in your stud earrings don’t have to be perfectly white but they shouldn’t show any colour either. Diamonds in the G or H colour range will make into excellent diamond stud earrings. Colour ranges lower than this might show some yellow.
2. No one should come too close to your diamond studs when they are on your ears so it isn’t necessary for the diamonds in your diamond stud earrings to be perfectly clean. Diamonds in the SI ranges will make perfect diamond stud earrings. That said, stones that are heavily marked won’t sparkle and we certainly want sparkly diamond stud earrings.
3. Cut is very important when it comes to diamond stud earrings. Fine cut diamonds sparkle like stars and won’t stand out too far from the ear. A poorly cut stone is usually cut too deep. It won’t sparkle as much and will stand out too far, never sitting properly on the ear. Also, you pay for diamonds by their weight; the heavier the stone the more it will cost. When it comes to diamond studs, you want to see every bit of the diamonds you pay for.
4. Remember, two diamonds make up a pair of stud earrings; they have to match. Your diamonds should have the same colour, the same clarity and, most importantly, the same dimensions. Two stones might have the same weight but if they are cut differently then they will have different widths and one will look larger than the other when you wear them.
